Don't let wintry conditions hold you back from your running goals with the GEL-NIMBUS? 21 Winterized men's running shoe by ASICS. Built to last, it's carefully designed with advanced technical features giving you luxurious cushioning, helping propel you further than you thought possible. I.G.S? (Impact Guidance System) technology allows your foot to perform in a more natural manner, freeing you up to focus on the important things: your breathing and pace. GEL? technology in the fore and rear foot absorbs the impact of your landings, thanks to shock-absorbent silicone which offers comfort over the distance. It's crucial to have a spring in your step on those tough winter runs, so FLYTEFOAM? Propel lightweight foam has a high-energy return elastomer for excellent bounce and toe-off. The GEL-NIMBUS? 21 Winterized shoe is fitted with a SpEVA 45 lasting, a plush midsole material for extra comfort, while the TRUSSTIC SYSTEM? technology helps keep you in your natural line of motion. We've fitted the shoe with an external heel counter, holding on to your heel firmly for an adaptive fit. To last the miles, an AHAR? outsole made with High Abrasion Resistance Rubber works against heavy contact areas of the sole, to reduce wear and tear. Made with a mesh upper to help air flow around your foot, let your shoe take the strain while you push yourself to achieve more.
Pronation is part of the natural movement of the human body and refers to the way your foot rolls inward for impact distribution upon landing. Understanding your pronation type can help you find a comfortable running shoe. The GEL-NIMBUS 21 Winterized is made for Underpronation and Neutral.
The pressure is on smaller toes on outside of foot.
How your foot contacts the ground
The outer side of the heel hits the ground at an increased angle with little or no normal pronation, causing a large transmission of shock through the lower leg.
Normal size arches
There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Great designBought a pair of these in November when it was offered for a deal I just can't pass up. Design is awesome, but they don't feel true to size to me. I wish I could've gotten it .5 size bigger but asics don't offer exchanges and I didn't want to return then buy another pair anymore. And besides, the size I would like is no longer available. Anyway, been wearing thinner socks and they seem to be stretching now that they're being broken in. I had to take out the inserts it came with, they feel stiff and not cushiony enough. I'm using an aftermarket memory foam inserts now and everything's good so far.
